Letter One : From the Valley(山谷)

March 6th, 2010

Dear Flora,

How are you?

It rains a lot these days. I'm growing fast. My sisters and brothers have grown up and gone out into the world. Now they are chairs, boats, and beautiful chopsticks(筷子). I can't wait to grow up. I have a dream. When I grow up, I want to be part of a house. How about you?

Best wishes.

Yours sincerely,

Bil1y

Letter Two:From the Factory

April 12th, 2010

Dear Flora,

I have big news for you.

Some friends and I took a train and travelled a long way. Now we're in a big factory. I heard that people would make us into chopsticks. That is not my dream, but I think beautiful chopsticks are also good. My cousin David was made into chopsticks. Now he is in the USA and everyone there likes him.

Kind regards.

Yours,

Billy.

Letter Three: From the Restaurant

June 22nd, 2010

Dear Flora,

I am not beautiful chopsticks like my cousin David, but disposable chopsticks. I don't like that. Isn't it banned(禁止)to use disposable chopsticks? I can't understand. Maybe people will throw me away tomorrow. Maybe I can't write to you any more. Oh, goodbye, my dear friend!

Take good care of yourself.

Sincerely,

Billy

Billy

科目:初中英語 來源:外研版八年級英語下冊測試Module 5 Cartoons Unit 1 It’s time to watch a cartoon. 題型:閱讀判斷

A mouse called Mike and a frog called Jim were friends.Every morning the frog would jump out of the water to visit his friend. The mouse lived in a hole beside a tree.

Mike was happy to see his friend visiting him. But he didn’t realize that the friend was slowly turning into an enemy(敵人). Jim was angry with the mouse because he never visited his house in the water.

One day, Jim felt he couldn’t stand any more. When it was time for him to return home, he tied(系)one end of a string around his own leg, and the other end to the mouse’s tail. Then he jumped away, with the poor mouse behind him.

The frog jumped into the water. The mouse tried to free himself but he couldn’t. Soon his body came to the top of the water.

A hawk(鷹)saw the mouse on the water. He flew down and caught the mouse. When he flew to a nearby tree, of course, he also pulled out of the frog because he tied himself together with the mouse.

In Africa, there’s a saying, “Don’t dig too deep a hole for your enemy, you may fall into it yourself.”

根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,判斷下列句子的正(T)、誤(F)。

1.The mouse and the frog were friends. The mouse lived in a hole beside a tree.

2.Mike and Jim often visited each other.

3.Mike was angry with Jim because he never visited his house in the hole.

4.One day, when Jim visited Mike, he tied a string to the mouse’s tail and jumped into the water with the poor mouse.

5.In the end, the hawk caught the mouse and also he caught the frog.
