When you sit down with your family to eat a meal, have you ever wondered when and where people used chopsticks for the first time?
It's said that the first chopsticks were used in China 5,000 years ago. Since then, chopsticks have been widely used in many countries in Asia, such as China, Japan and Korea. Chopsticks are made of different kinds of materials. The materials like bamboo and wood are common because they are easy to get. People also use bone for chopsticks. Even many valuable materials like silver can be used to make chopsticks. There are also many table manners(禮儀) connected with chopsticks. For instance, never stick(插入) your chopsticks straight in your rice bowl. People believe this is impolite to the host.

A student asked his teacher,“What is Greed(貪婪)?” The teacher said,“To find the answer to your question,go to the chocolate factory next to our school and pick the one chocolate you like best. But there is a rule.As you pass through the factory, you cannot turn back. You must pick the chocolate as you go forward only.”
The student went to the chocolate factory. As he walked through,he saw one chocolate wrapped(包裝) nicely. He really liked it but he thought that he might find a much bigger one later. So,he walked further and saw another chocolate. But again,he thought the same and took nothing. When he reached near the end of the factory,he couldn't see any chocolates as big as the one he didn't pick earlier and started to regret his decision of letting it go.
Finally,he gave up.He went back to the teacher with empty hands and explained what he had done.
The teacher told him,“You liked one chocolate very much but you still kept looking for a bigger one.And later you realized what you missed was the best chocolate you could find there. That is called Greed.”
In our life we let go of many good things because of our greed of having even better ones. This is human nature:we always want something better and better. But we let go of many good things which can give us similar satisfaction and make us happy.Learn to make your choice wisely.

It was already 8: 30 in the morning. Lin Tao, a 14-year-old schoolboy still didn't show up at school. He was often late for school! The teacher called his father and got to know he played computer games online late the night before and couldn't get up that morning. In fact, he had played online games since the age of 11. He almost dropped out of school last year.
Lin Tao is not alone. Information from China Internet Center shows that the number of teenage Internet users in China had been about 170 million by the end of December, 2016. Many of them like Lin Tao, spend too much time playing computer games online.
To deal with this problem, the Chinese government worked out regulation(法規(guī)草案) in January this year. According to the regulation, players need to use their own ID cards to play online games. Game companies will control(管控) teenagers' online game time. They will not be able to play online games between12: 00 at night and 8: 00 in the morning. If they are still playing during that time the game companies will lock them out.
Many people think that the regulation can surely better protect Chinese young game players online, while others doubt whether it can successfully stop them from playing games too much. “More and more people come to know that playing online games too much not only brings teenagers health and study problems, but also makes them depressed (沮喪的) and lonely,” Tong Xiaojun, a director from a university, told CCTV. “We need support from the whole society to solve the problems.”
