4 It was Christmas Eve. When everyone went to bed,Bunny couldn’t fall asleep. He still couldn't think of what he wanted as a special Christmas present. He wondered how Santa — Father Christmas would know what to bring him if he didn't know himself.
As he was sitting up in bed,Bunny heard a big noise on the roof (MIS) and a sound downstairs. It was Santa Claus,he realized. Bunny jumped out of bed and ran down the hall to the stairs. He hoped to take a look at the old man before Santa left for his next stop.
By the time Bunny was at the bottom of the stairs, everything was silent again. Lots of presents were put under the Christmas tree, but Santa was gone. A little disappointed (失望的) ,Bunny turned to climb back upstairs when he heard a cry.
“Hello ,” said Bunny. “Is somebody there?”
He was answered by another cry. Bunny looked around the big pile of presents to see what was making the noise. Right under the tree was a funny looking brown animal with big feet and sad eyes. It also had antlers (鹿角) on its head. Bunny almost mistook it for a dog. “Areyouareindeer?”askedBunny.
“Yes”, replied the brown animal with antlers. “My name is Ralph. ”
“And you were pulling Santa's sled (雪橇) ?”
“I was until I got air-sick,” replied Ralph. " Santa had to leave me here and go on with the other seven reindeer. ”
" Isn't it a bit unusual for a reindeer to get airsick? I mean, isn’t flying what reindeer are famous
“Not me,I'm afraid. It makes me scared. I always feel sick when it comes to flying ,” replied Ralph. “But everyone wanted me to pull Santa's sled,so when it was my turn I gave it a try. I'm afraid I just wasn't cut out for the job. Now I'm stuck here and I don't know how to get back to the North Pole."

Have you ever wondered what an American high school is really like? This article will describe a typical high school and its students.
A typical American high school has several large buildings and enough space for about 1,500 students. Every student is given a locker. When students first arrive at school, they go straight to their lockers to put away or get their textbooks and to hang up their outdoor clothes. As American textbooks are expensive, students would rather borrow than buy them. Students must pay back if they lose any of them.
American students have different types of school transport. They usually take a yellow school bus or walk to school if they live close enough. Sometimes their parents drive them to school. When they turn 16 years of age, most take a 什ee driving class at school for one term. If students get passing grades in the class and also pass their state driver's exam, they can begin driving themselves to school.
Each day, students take six or seven classes. They must take science, maths,English and social studies. They can choose art, homemaking, clothes making and other classes. In some schools students are asked to take one or more of the following special classes:health education, physical education or foreign language studies. Students move to different classrooms for each subject. This is because each teacher has their own classroom. There is a five-minute break between classes,to give the students the time to hurry to their next class.
The school day usually ends early in the afternoon. After school more than half of the students take part in after-school activities. These activities include sports—especially football, basketball, baseball and soccer or clubs, such as yearbook, speech, school newspaper, and photography and student government.
1. How many students are there in the typical American school?
2. Does each of the students have a locker at school?
3. What subjects must they study?
4. What do they do after school?
5. What can you learn about the American school life from the passage? (At least 2 points)

Take good notes.
Take time after each run to write down notes about what you did and how you felt.
