My hometown is a small town far away from the city. It was a quiet and poor place in the past. It has changed a lot over the last ten years. There are lots of new roads and tall buildings. It is faster and easier to get to the city from the town than before. The government has changed the centre of town into a big park. We also have a big shopping mall and a theatre. Most people feel happy because the changes have brought them a modern life.

However, these changes also bring some pollution. The water is not as clean as it used to be. Neither is the sky. I think we must do what we can to protect the environment in my hometown.
