OPEN DAY is an important activity in Sunshine Middle School. It allows parents to learn more about their children’s school life. Here is the Open Day Programme to offer you some information.

Open classroom sessions 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Classrooms

You are invited to attend class together with your children. You can visit your children’s classroom and know more about their learning environment at school.

Artwork display 4:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. School library

There is an art club in our school. The club members’ paintings, calligraphy (書法) and photographs will be displayed on Open Day. You can see their artworks in the library.

Dinner time 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. School canteen

You will receive free meal tickets on Open Day. You can have dinner with your children in the canteen. We will provide you with the healthy meal your children have every school day.

Evening party 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. School hall

Your children have prepared many programs for you. The programs include singing, dancing and dramas. You will enjoy a wonderful night at the evening party.

The farmer poured water over the line to make it disappear. None of these worked, and the people went home unhappily. Everyone was puzzled about how to solve this new riddle.

A week passed, and nobody had any new ideas. Then one day the baker came into the courtyard with a bag of flour (面粉）. “Your Majesty,” the baker said to the king, “ I can make your line shorter with erasing any part of it.” Then the baker opened his bag of flour. He poured out a line of flour right next to the king’s line. The line the baker made was longer than the king’s line.

“Now, good king,” the baker smiled, “your line is shorter.”

The people were very surprised. The king laughed and clapped his hands." You have won the prize. I will give you a horse of your choice."

The baker was excited. Now he could sell his bread from one end of the kingdom to the other.
