8.請閱讀下面短文,并按要求用英語寫一篇150詞左右的文章
Behavioral scientists have done countless experiments to prove that any human being tends to repeat an act which has been immediately followed by a pleasant result.In one such experiment,a number of schoolchildren were divided into three groups and given arithmetic tests daily for five days.One group was consistently praised for its previous performance; another group was criticized; the third was ignored.
Not surprisingly,those who were praised improved dramatically.Those who were criticized improved also but not so much.And the scores of the children who were ignored hardly improved at all.Interestingly,the brightest children were helped just as much by criticism as by praise,but the less able children reacted badly to criticism,who needed praise the most.Yet the latter are the very youngsters who,in most schools,fail to get the pat on the back.
To give praise costs the giver nothing but a moments thought and a moment's effort一perhaps a quick phone call to pass on a compliment (稱贊),or five minutes spent writing an appreciative letter.
It is such a small investment一and yet consider the results it may produce."I can live for two months on a good compliment,"said Mark Twain.

The experiments done by the behavioral scientists shows thatthose who were praised improved dramatically and that those who were criticizedimproved also but not so much and that the scores of the children who wereignored hardly improved at all.We can conclude that the praise has a great influence on the students'improving.
I remember the first time that I did lunch. When I got home from schoolas a teenager,my mother went to pick cotton in the field,I wanted to let my mother eat the lunch I did.But I didn't know what to doand how to do it.Although I overcame many unexpected difficulties, the lunch tasted bad,and I felt sorry to tell mymother.Unexpectedly,my mother praised me for it,and so I liked cooking more and more.As a result,I can cook many kinds ofdishes for my families.
Thanks to my mother,it was her praise thatencouraged me to go on.The more praise the child get,the more he can do..

Headmaster,
I'm Li Yue,a student from Class 1,SeniorⅡ.I am writing to draw your attention to some improperbehaviour among us students:litter andscribbling.
It makes our school dirty and unpleasant, and does harm to the image of our school.I always feel ashamed whenever I see this.It is clearly not appropriate for a student to litterand scribble about.
I wonder if the school could place moredustbins around and set up specified rules against such behaviour. At the same time, studentsshould be encouraged to develop good habits and better behave themselves.I believe that, with thejoint efforts of both teachers and students, our schoolwill become a more enjoyable place in the near future.Thank you for your consideration.
Your faithfully,
Li Yue.

13.閱讀下面短文,然后按要求寫一篇150詞左右的英語短文.
Ten years ago,Sun Shenglong gave up his job of an annual salary of 600,000yuan to become a full-time father.After ten years of hard work,he has finally made his daughter become a violin virtuoso (大師).
What Sun Shenglong did has aroused wide public concern in China.In September,his new book"Who kidnapped Chinese parents?"which took him 10years of efforts to write was published.But in the process of publication,both editors and staff are wondering:Is that worth it?Why do some parents sacrifice their lives for their children?Do children really want their parents to accompany them?
Some people argue that adults have their own lives.It is not worth sacrificing their own well-being for children.Others think that Sun Shenglong forced changes in the children's growth.
Indeed,Sun Shenglong had to have his own business.He experienced a lot of pain since childhood:his father died and his mother remarried.He worked as a little tailor,a high school teacher,a newspaper reporter and editor,and finally achieved the implementation of a Shanghai newspaper editor which was to him a brilliant future wave.
It was then that his daughter learned to play the violin and revealed the talent.Several violin experts said she would be potential for development.So,Sun Shenglong completely gave up his job and went all out to accompany his daughter.
His painstaking efforts finally bear fruit.His daughter won several international awards and has become famous worldwide.
寫作內容
1.以約30個詞概括上文的主要內容.
2.以約120個詞談談你對父母該不該為了孩子成才而犧牲自己的事業(yè)的想法,內容包括:
(1)你同意上文中這位父親的做法嗎?
(2)以你父母或者你周圍的一些父母為例,談談他們是如何為子女成才做出犧牲;
In order to have enough time to accompany his daughter to learn theviolin,Sun Shenglong gave up his well-paid job to be a full-time father, which has caused a heateddebate in China.
I am not in favor of what Sun Shenglong did although he has succeeded inturning his daughter into a violin virtuoso. However, many parents around me also make sacrifices for theirchildren. Some change their jobs while others move near the key schools in orderto make it more convenient for their children to study. And some mothers even giveup their favorite jobs to accompany their children.
As for me,I don't think it is appropriate for parents to quit their jobs in orderto provide better conditions for their children. For one thing, parents have their own careers and they can display theirtalents and make contributions to society. For another, children should learn to pursue their dreams on their owninstead of totally depending on their parents..
