Now I can't watch television any longer and a few years ago Iwas

used  to watch it every night.I was often a little tired after  a day's
work and watch TV demands very little effort.Unfortunate, there are
              watching                                          Unfortunately
too many people among my family. Some wanted to see the programme

while others preferred another.I am happy with any programme but the

others spent a lot∧time arguing. Therefore, there was no way of settling
                         of
the matters except by selling the TV set.Now someone at home reads instead.
     matter                                                  everyone/everybody

答案:
2.去掉was   考查動詞短語的用法    動詞短語"used  to do sth."意為:過去常常;"be used to doing sth."
Unfortunately
5.將among改為in 考查介詞   among指"在…
8.在a lot之后加of   考查固定短語   此處應使用a lot of (許多)來修飾名詞time;故加介詞of
10.將someone改為everyone/everybody   考查不定代詞   這里的意思是:現(xiàn)在所有人在家都看書;故用everyone/everybody

11.A recent survey in the United States showed that the average family spent more money on its pets than on its children.Although rather shocking,it should not surprise anyone who has seen the doggy parlours (客廳 ) where loved pets rest. Are Americans unique in treating their little friends in this way? No,the English, too, pay more attention to their pets.
This can clearly be seen when we look at pet foods, which often contain more vitamins than hu-man food. They certainly cost much.Last year the British public spent two hundred million pounds on pet food alone,to say nothing of veterinary bills or animal furniture. It is difficult not to feel angry  about this when considering what the same amount could do for victims of starvation and poverty,so it is not unusual for me to get hot under collar when I read an old man left all his money to his dog in-stead of his children.
There are a variety of reasons why I find pets-raising alarming. They cause physical problems.
An example of this is New York where they have great difficulty getting rid of the mess that dogs leave  on the streets. Many people find this funny, but in a number of large cities it is a major problem.Ani-mals can cause disease, too. It is the threat of rabies-a disease with no known cure.
Another problem is the carelessness of pet owners. Most little children want a dog or a cat,and they continually push their mothers and fathers until they get one.It is only when the"sweet little thing"has been brought home that the parents realize how much time and money must be spent on"Rover"or"Bonzo".Then they just abandon it.As a result, they are allowed to run free.English farm-
ers lose hundreds of sheep a year, killed by someone's pet and you must have read of children being  hurt by some pets of their own.
Lastly,I would only suggest that we have got our priorities wrong and that something should be  done about it.In my view,it's time we stopped being sentimental about pets.I can see no reason why we should get upset when animals are cut up for medical experiments. This will lead us to discovering  cures for serious human diseases, then I say,"keep cutting!"
29.The doggy parlours are mentioned in the 1st paragraph to showB.
A.what costly lives the pets are living
B.where Americans keep their pets
C.why children love their pets so much
D.how much pets depend on their masters
30.In the second paragraph"to get hot under the collar"probably meansC.
A.getting quite hot
B.becoming excited
C.feeling extremely angry
D.receiving a fashionable shirt
31.According to the author,in which field can animals be most useful?C
A.Food.B.Sports.C.Entertainment.D.Medicine.
32.What is the author's attitude towards pets-raising?B
A.Sympathetic.B.Opposed.C.Pitiful.D.Supportive.

5.[1]We all have stories to tell about a father and some of these stories are funny,some are of encouragement and some are filled with sorrow.One such story happened many years ago but I always remember it as if it had happened yesterday.My father was a music teacher who traveled to farm homes in smaller communities to teach his students.He left home around one p.m.each afternoon to start teaching and would return around ten or eleven o'clock long after everyone,except my mother,was asleep.
[2]Mother was the ruler of the home.She was a strict taskmaster,demanding that we all obey the rules without any excuse.When we didn't,there were always immediate consequences.
[3]However,one day I made a big mistake and my mother warned me that my father would deal with me.I was relieved because I knew I would be in bed long before he got home.At night,I went to bed early just in case my dad came home.I figured it this way:I would fall asleep when he got home and therefore he wouldn't wake me up to punish me,and by the time morning rolled around,he would forget the whole thing.But I was  fallacious.I got up thinking all was well but instead,dad called me in to the playroom.He told me how disappointed he was in me.He then told me that I would lose the privilege of playing with any of my toys for the next two days.
[4]I still remember that incident vividly.The reason why I remember it so well is that it taught me a good lesson.And,that lesson is that consequences will befall you no matter how much you don't want them,or how much you hope that they will just go away like a bad dream.

56.Why didn't the author see his father in the evening?(no more than 10words)Because he had fallen asleep when his father came back.
/Because his father w ouldn't return until around 11o'clock at night.
57.What was the author's mom like?(no more than 8words)She was stric t with her children.
58.What does the underlined word"fallacious"in Paragraph 3mean?(1word)Wrong/Incorrect
59.What punishment did the author get from his father?(no more than 10words)He couldn't play his toys for two days.
60.How are you inspired by the author's story?(no more than 15words)If we made a mistake,we should face it bravely instead of avoiding/escaping it..

He hopes that through their efforts, more young people will learn to appreciate crosstalk and perhaps train to be crosstalkers themselves.
