       In an English class, you are asked to describe the following picture and explain to the class how you understand it.

In the picture, we can see a man with many books inside. While he is proud of the piles of books he has already read, he doesn’t realize that his mind is being trapped in a birdcage.

    I think the man in the picture represents those who have acquired much knowledge from books but don’t really know how to apply it in practice. Their way of thinking is so inflexible that they can’t think creatively. For them, knowledge is just something to show off instead of a means of improving themselves.

I think we should not only read many books but also make full use of the ideas in books in daily life. Only in this way can we give wings to knowledge and liberate our mind.
