A rainstorm,which had been kept up for a whole week,caused great damage. Farmhouses down,so did the bridge across the river. In the heavy rain many farmers and PLA men were fortifying the banks. But unfortunately the banks were overflowed．The flood ran wildly and washed away everything the farmers had．Men and women had to climb up to the tops of their houses. A little boy was lying and taking firmly bold of a branch of a tall tree,keeping his head out of water. He was in great danger. Just then a PLA's boat appeared in the distance. The PLA men found the boy and rowed to him without delay. They carefully helped the boy down to their boat and he was saved． 　　Like this boy,thousands and thousands of the people in danger were saved by the PLA men during the big flood．
